902 Athletics is devoted to working within Lunenburg County to help individuals reach their fitness and athletic goals. At 902 Athletics, our goal is to help individuals become healthier, stronger, happier, and fitter while working alongside like-minded individuals who have similar goals; creating a positive and welcoming community to achieve the impossible.

Joel graduated from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta with a Bachelor of Applied Business & Entrepreneurship – Sport Recreation Management. Joel spent 4 years as a university athlete and 1 year coaching the University Baseball Team that he played for. His passion for sport, community & CrossFit has brought him into the role of Owner and Coach. Joel has been CrossFitting for 2 years and wants to share the positivity and passion that he has for the sport.

Matt VanWychen is a Certified Health Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine, with a Health Wellness & Recreation Diploma through Eastern College. He’s been a lifelong athlete, playing hockey as a goaltender since age five. Matt has put on dryland clinics for QCMHA and numerous Teen Athletic Training classes. Matt has a passion for personal training &, programming, and making Lunenburg County stronger and healthier.
